Before/after photos are every hair clinic showcase — and also where it is easiest to fool yourself. Here is the checklist to read them like an evaluator, not a fan:
The honest before/after checklist
- Same lighting and angle in both photos. An "after" under soft light vs. a "before" with direct flash exaggerates any result.
- A believable hairline: soft, slightly irregular, age-appropriate. Ruler-perfect lines reveal an aggressive design.
- A crown with a pattern: hair grows in a spiral from the whorl. A uniformly "painted" crown is a sign of retouching.
- Declared timelines: serious results are shown at 12 months, not 4.
- Cases similar to yours: same degree of loss, hair type and age.
The limit of other people's photos
Even the most honest galleries answer the wrong question: they show how others turned out. Your decision depends on how you would look — with your hairline, your donor density, your face.

The HairLo simulator generates your own AI before/after from one photo, with restored hair, keeping your exact face, haircut and color. It is illustrative (not a medical promise), but it turns an abstract decision into a concrete image.
For clinics
If your clinic lives off showing results, imagine every website visitor seeing themselves in 60 seconds, under your brand. That is HairLo. From $97/month.
